LAPSE ist ein kollaboratives Kunstprojekt, initiiert von der Künstlerin Maja Gratzfeld in Zusammenarbeit mit KW Institute for Contemporary Art.
Das Projekt möchte dabei ein Konzept von Diversität entwerfen, das die Teilnehmenden – vorrangig Kinder und Jugendliche, die in einer Notunterkunft in Alt-Moabit wohnten – bei der Visualisierung ihrer (neuen) Lebensräume und Communities unterstützt. Die Ausstellung präsentiert eine Auswahl von Bildern, die von den Teilnehmenden als Fehler/Lapse ausgezeichnet wurden. Die mit Einwegkameras aufgenommenen Fotos erzählen in ihrer Gesamtheit – auf ästhetisch einnehmende Weise – eine intime Auseinandersetzung mit den Phänomenen Licht, Zeit, Form und Farbe.
LAPSE is a collaborative art project initiated by the artist Maya Gratzfeld in partnership with KW Institute for Contemporary Art.
The project aims to conceptualize a concept of diversity that supports the participants, primarily children and young people who were living in a shelter accommodation in Alt-Moabit, in the visualization of their (new) environments and communities. The exhibition presents those images labeled as failures/lapses by the participants. In an aesthetically engaging way, these images, which were photographed with disposable cameras, tell of an intimate engagement with the phenomena of light, time, shape, and color.
